Bilger Provides Update on WorkingNation and its Re-Skilling Efforts
On July 24, Altru members and guests joined us for an evening discussion with Art Bilger, WorkingNation Founder and CEO, and Joan Lynch, Chief Content and Programming Officer. They provided an update on WorkingNation’s recent progress in the areas of the Re-skilling initiative.
“I believe the most critical issue facing our nation is not just because of the direct impact of economic issues in their lives or the fear of what is going to happen to them in the employment state,” Bilger said. “But also, I believe the extracurricular things happening in this country are driven because so many people are in pain.”
“Look at the massive growth of so many of the anti movements in this country,” Bilger continues “I do believe some of those are driven because of the pain they are facing their lives.”
WorkingNation also announced the renewal of a grant from the Lumina Foundation, a private, Indianapolis-based foundation with a mission to expand student access and success in education beyond high school.
Joan Lynch, former Vice President and Executive Producer of Content Development at ESPN Inc, shared her experience as a veteran journalist and described WorkingNation’s close relationship with the journalism community and how that has served them well. Lynch is known for her dedication to reaching targeted demographics of all races, ages, and genders across the globe, and on every media platform.
